Dr. Alexandre Mahougnon Aurel Zoumman is a researcher and project manager specialising in plant biotechnology, agroecology and climate resilience. President of the Youth Alliance for Agroecology and Climate (YAAC) and board member of the African Students and Alumni Forum (ASAF) in charge of Internal Affairs, he combines scientific research with field leadership across Africa.

His work focuses on plant–microorganism interactions to improve crop performance and restore degraded soils from a sustainable agriculture perspective, with a particular interest in biofertilisers and halotolerant bacterial strains with plant growth promoting (PGP) effects.

Alexandre is driven by a simple conviction: ending hunger and preserving ecosystems must go hand in hand. His goal is a world where everyone has access to sustainable food, on a thriving planet.
